Reading Target of 100?

95/100 books read

Last year during the start of the first lockdown in March I decided to set myself the target of reading 100 books within the year. I had so much time in the summer that I usually managed to read at least one book a day, if not within two days. It really was an expensive few months!!!!

Unfortunately I have only managed to read 95 books…… I was so close to actually hitting that target but I have been so unproductive since the end of February and also very distracted that I have not even read a chapter of a book!!!!

I literally have no time available at the moment to read even a small chunk of the book. I do feel that 95 is a good target, which included both old and new reads. There were quite a few that I wanted to reread a second time so this was the perfect opportunity to do so. This even included an old classic – Pride and Prejudice. I am so glad that I finally read this after seeing so many posts about it. It was definitely a worthwhile read!

This year I have decided to set myself a record of 50 books. I think with lockdown I managed to read a lot more than anticipated. So keeping it low in regards to full time working.

Favourite read: All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

Worst Read: There Will Be Lies by Nick Lane

A Special book – Looking For Alaska by John Green

Book that made me cry: Me Before you by Jojo Moyes and Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott

Book that scared me: The House on Cold Hill by Peter James

Book that everyone likes but disappointed me: We Were Liars by E Lockhart

Best Suspense book: He Started it by Samantha Downing and Fool Me Once by Harlan Coben

Best series: Noughts and Crosses

Best movie adaptation: Normal People by Sally Rooney
