Book Haul!

Hey guys! I hope you are all keeping well. It’s been a whole since I last blogged properly. With everything going on at the moment, I have really struggled to find time to blog and enjoy it at the same time. I have also not read as much in the last few weeks as I would have hoped- I have literally only read like a chapter each day. I think this is the longest I have gone reading the same book and not finished it within a week! Shocking right!

I am currently reading reading Pride and Prejudice- after seeing so many people add it to their TBR list, I decided to read it myself…. currently loving the book. Not my usual genre but I think we should definitely read a classic book once in a lifetime. The book is written in old English, so I do find myself rereading the paragraph a few times before understanding it properly….. the struggles heh!

The second book I am reading alongside Pride and Prejudice is Lie Beside Me by Gytha Lodge on Netgalley. Really exciting book, a lot of twists. Her previous book I read was a definite win for me so I am expecting this to be another good novel. I keep thinking I know where this is going but I do keep getting proven wrong……. we’ll just have to wait and see.

This week it was my birthday…… and from now on i am officially in the adult age category for most things now, which is unfortunately a very depressing thought. One of my really good friends brought me a few crime/mystery books and OH Boy, she did not disappoint!

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn.

I am excited to read this, especially her book Gone Girl was such an amazing read.

The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena

This was actually already added to my reading list…. so she did a good job in getting me a physical copy to read. Mystery books and physical books are a whole another level of experience.

Lying in Wait by Liz Nugent

I haven’t actually heard of or seen this book around but I blurb looks interesting and it is definitely my cup of tea.

I don’t know about you but I think this is definitely a good haul of books that I have received. I am excited to read these books…. she says…. hopefully at some point in a couple of months. Let me know if any of you have already read these books and what you thought of them??????

I’ve heard Dark Places is good but haven’t read it yet. And I totally get you – Pride and Prejudice is not a cup of tea.

I mean come on who wants to read Old English when it is a struggle to understand it properly, but still quite enjoyable
